Bobcat Badge

Aden finally got his bobcat badge. He was so excited! We have alot of work to do before his birthday next month. Hard to believe he's going to be turning nine years old.

Better Late then Never!

Okay I know it's been forever since I've posted anything...life flies by fast, what can I say?? Here are some summer pictures of Aden and I and some friends hiking. Aden loves to go hiking and never complains about the distance or getting tired...he's a great hiker:)

CHRISTMAS!!!

Okay...I know its been awhile! I seriously have to get better at this blogging thing :(

Christmas in St. George was great!

St. George got one of its first snow storms in years!

Aden had a blast. Uncle Sean was in town from Ohio, and Aden wanted to go everywhere with him.

Santa was very good to Aden this year...brining lots of STAR WARS toys and a LeapFrog Didj, which I've had to invest in a years supply of batteries for.

My family was VERY GOOD to me this year as well. I am a very, very proud owner of a beautiful new laptop! I was so excited...it brought me to tears...tears of joy...of course!

I really enjoyed spending two weeks with family, and it was nice to take off so much time from work to be with Aden while he was out of school. There is nothing better than Holidays surrounded by family and love ones:)

Disneyland Pics!!!

Finally I am able to post our Disneyland trip pictures. Aden had a great time, and so did my parents, and I. We spent three days at Disneyland and California Disney. From sun up to sun down we tried to get to every ride, show, parade, and visit every character we possibly could. Aden's favorite character was peter pan and his favorite ride was "The Pirates of the Carribean". We all really enjoyed the ride "Soring Over California". It was 90 degree weather and we walked a ton. By the end of our three days my calves felt like giant watermelons:) It was a wonderful vacation and we hope to go back in a couple years!

My Little Tadpole!

Well, it's been awhile so I thought I should catch up on my blog. Aden has only two days left of kindergarten. He seems excited, but also very sad because he loves his teacher Mrs. Croft and all his friends in his class.

Aden loves to go to Grandma's and Grandpa's whenever we get the chance. We had a great time two weekends ago for Mother's Day. Aden gave me a sweet card and a beautiful necklace. We will be heading down to Grandma's and Grandpa's again this weekend to visit with our Aunt Judy and Uncle Tommy who are from Atlanta, Georgia. Aden loves to hear them talk with their accents, and I love to make fun of them...in a loving way of course! We are getting very excited about our trip to Disneyland next month...although I'm not to sure about the drive:( Hopefully the gas prices won't hurt us too much!

Aden's favorite thing to do is swim and I know we'll be doing a lot this summer. He amazes me with how brave he is in the water and how well he is learning to swim. He has even talked me into letting him go off the diving board in the deep end of the pool. I get nervous every time he does it, because he likes to hangout in the deep end and tread water for awhile. I have to yell, "Aden swim to me...hurry swim...kick those legs!" He thinks it's pretty cool that he can do what the big boys can do. He's now trying to talk me into letting him go down the big water slide that they have at our local pool. I told him, "Let mom get use to you going off the diving board for awhile first...then we will tackle the water slide." He really is a great swimmer!

Aden has also started T-ball and has his second practice tomorrow. His first game isn't until the end of the month, but he is getting very excited for his new t-shirt and hat. He keeps asking me what color his team is going to be, but I have to remind him that we won't know until his first game.

I am staying pretty busy at work...some days are slower then others, but it's nice to be able to have a somewhat quiet summer. I fill-up most of my time preparing lessons for class next year. It has been a great challenge, but also a wonderful learning experience for me to teach. I have also enjoyed the extra time I have to read...books are finally fun again!

We will keep posting new things and new pictures this summer and hope to keep in touch with all our friends and family:)

SUMMER IS COMING!

Hey Family and Friends-

We are so excited about this summer...we have lots planned and hope to keep you posted on our various events throughout the summer. We will be traveling to California to visit the Wonderful World of Disney and Aden is soooo excited about it!

We are also looking forward to visiting family and friends over the summer vacations, and hope to share our experiences with each and everyone of you!

Aden has done so well in school and is well on his way to be prepared for first grade! He has really enjoyed his kindergarten teacher, and will miss her terribly next year!

I am also looking forward to some breaks from work. It has been a busy year and I have really enjoyed teaching my class. I will be working hard this summer preparing for next year's classes and events, but am very excited about the vacation time I have saved up!

I hope you will all come visit our blog often...keep in touch and let us know how you are all doing! We love and miss you~and are grateful for all the help and support you have shown us throughout this past year!
